And speaking of teachers… Valentine’s day is such an appropriate day NOT to buy chocolate and flowers, especially for someone who deserves something much more thoughtful.
I came up with an idea for our Kinder teacher that cost me nothing (and almost came together more quickly than going to the store to buy something). As room parent, I’m privy to certain details (like finding out at 10:30 pm that the teacher wouldn’t be in the following day). In the blink of an eye, I snipped away at 19 little paper hearts and handed them over to the sub the next morning. “Please take just 5 minutes during free time to have the kids write one thing they love about our teacher,” I begged. She looked at me like I was throwing her whole day off schedule but she pulled it off for me.
And there is no denying that Kindergarten statements of love are the cutest thing ever.
