First off, if you were an avid fivethirtyone.com follower (yes, you can see that the number five was a bit of a fixation around here), then you might have been aware of the last couple of web-based endeavors that had been circulating. For lack of a better place to put those anymore, they’ve found a home as sleepy little links on fiveinthehive.com. I judge them to be more homely in nature than really business-driven.
In 2011, I started a photography project that then spawned into a creative project in 2012. ProjectEleven and ProjectTwelve were cornerstone to my desire to bring fundamental learn-as-you-go goodies to a space where friends and family (and strangers!) could catch a glimpse of my efforts. They finally found a permanent space to rest and while they’re dusty, they’re always fun to read.
ProjectTwelve : Two-thousand-eleven left my camera smoking at the seams so I changed 2012’s endeavor to include anything creative. Because why box a girl in?
ProjectELEVEN : A photo a day in 2011 keeps the doctor (or maybe just the demons) away. I made it until October (which I say, isn’t half bad). After that, those pesky little holidays took over.
